PLAY DISC GOLF
WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN MORE? GREAT, WE ARE HAPPY TO SHARE THE BEGINNINGS OF DISC GOLF!

Like traditional golf, disc golf is a sport where the goal is to get a disc into the basket in the fewest number of attempts. It's basically a game of golf, but you play with discs instead of a golf ball and clubs. Whether you want to play it for fun or competitively, disc golf is a great way to get active outdoors with friends, family, or even on your own.
Disc golf is a fun, easy, and low-demand game that is accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. While it may seem challenging at first, it is a fast-paced game that keeps you coming back to the park to get better and better. So if you've been thinking about trying this sport, now is the time to learn!
WHAT IS DISC GOLF AND HOW TO PLAY?
The main objective of disc golf is to get the disc into the basket in the fewest number of throws. Players start each round with an individually selected number of discs, taking turns throwing one disc at a time from a tee pad at the start of the course . then continue their next throw from the spot where their first throw landed, and so on until the disc is thrown or placed in the basket for that lane discs can be changed after each throw, just like clubs in traditional golf. Traditionally, 18 holes are played in the park and the final score is calculated at the end. The fewer the number of shots made over all 18 holes, the better the player is rated. This is a game that requires more technique and tactics than physical preparation, so enthusiasts of any physical preparation can participate in this game.
Disc golf is a really fun way to spend your free time, making new friends and experiencing the benefits of community. It can also help you improve your physical health, relax and enjoy the great weather outside. In addition, disc golf is a relatively inexpensive hobby that you can indulge in at any time of the year.

Kriterijai:
Pirmasis skaičius - GREITIS. Galimas minimalus greitis: 1. Maksimalus: 14,5
Antrasis skaičius - SKLANDUMAS. Minimalus: 1. Maksimalus: 7
Trečiasis skaičius - SUKIMAS Į DEŠINĘ. Minimalus: + 1 (nesukantis į dešinę). Maksimalus: -5 (labiausiai sukantis dešinę)
Ketvirtasis skaičius - SUKIMAS Į KAIRĘ. Minimalus: 0. Maksimalus: +5 (labiausiai sukantis į kairę).
Jeigu esate dešiniarankis ir metate įprastu uždaru (angl. backhand) metimu, tai naudokite šią taisyklę
Kuo daugiau trečias skaičius turi minuso, tuo diskas nestabilesnis = diskas suks į dešinę
Kuo daugiau trečias ir ketvirtas skaičius turi pliuso = diskas suks į kairę.
Jeigu esate kairirankis, apkeiskite sąvokas vietomis.
Pavyzdžiai.
Distance driver (Grace): 11, 6, -1, 2. Labai greitas, labai sklandus, skrenda tiesiai, pasuka į dešinę ir grįžta į kairę.
Fairway driver (Explorer): 7, 5, 0, 2. Greitas, sklandus, skrenda tiesiai ir suka į kairę.
Midrange (Truth): 5, 5, -1, 1. Vidutinio greičio, sklandus, skrendantis tiesiai.
Putter (Pure): 3, 3, -1, 1.
P.S. Pakartokime dar kartelį - jei esate dešiniarankis ir naudojate uždarą metimą, stabilūs diskai baigs skristi į kairę, nestabilūs - į dešinę. Jeigu esate kairiarankis - atvirkšičiai.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT DURING THE GAME
Disc golf backpack with your discs: Whether you decide to choose a backpack on your shoulders or a trolley, make sure it has compartments where you can store as many discs as you need during the game. For beginners, 3-6 discs are recommended. Later, the number of discs in the backpack can increase to 15-25. Remember, it is not the discs that determine the quality and result of your game, but the skills learned in practice. When purchasing a backpack, it is important to evaluate the capacity, number of pockets and quality of the material.
Water. It is recommended to drink fluids during the game.
Small snacks. It's a good idea to include chocolate, nut bars, salted peanuts, protein bars, or whole grain crackers.
Portable power bank – in case your phone battery runs out.
Insect Spray – Most disc golf courses are located in the woods or have some type of vegetation, and mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and other insects are around. Therefore, it is recommended to always have insect spray in your disc golf bag.
Sunscreen (SPF) – If you will be playing in the sun, especially in the summer, it is wise to carry sunscreen with you to protect your skin from the sun's rays.
A mini marker disc is your marker, used to mark the disc you have thrown and dropped; from that mark you will start your next throw. It can be a professional one from any online disc golf store (used in tournaments) or a jar lid can be a substitute.
(when playing normally, the disc you drop is also your marker).
Good mood and etiquette. Let's try to be respectful to each other and follow the rules of the game. There is nothing more fun than playing disc golf in good company.
CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR
A good rule of thumb is to wear what allows you to throw comfortably. We recommend appropriate gym attire. You should also dress appropriately for the weather. Wear less if it's hot and dress warmly if it's cold.
Another important piece of your gear is your shoes. Keep in mind that most disc golf courses are uneven and hilly. But even if that's not the case, you'll still want a pair of shoes that will give you grip when you're throwing. While regular shoes can work just fine, they may not provide a solid grip when you're throwing from an uneven surface or on grassy paths. For this reason, you should opt for something with a stronger grip, such as hiking boots.
For clothing and footwear, we recommend checking out Decathlon.

THROWING TECHNIQUE
We offer to learn the basics of playing technique by ordering our services, but you can find good visual materials on the Youtube channel or the federation's website discgolf.lt. Recommended visual materials: throwing technique .
